Thanksgiving Basket Drive

In partnership with the Stone Creek Church, the Office of Volunteer Programs (OVP) is hosting the Thanksgiving Basket Drive from Monday, November 3 through Monday, November 17 in an effort to collect 250 baskets for families in need.

The Office of Volunteer Programs, known as OVP, promotes community service by encouraging students to donate their time and volunteer for the local community. OVP takes students' interests into account and pairs them accordingly with opportunities where they gain invaluable experience through public engagement. Year after year, University students volunteer thousands of dedicated hours in the Champaign-Urbana community.

OVP also provides community service workshops, connects with community agencies and partners with students group in order to provide volunteer options for personal and professional growth. For many, volunteering with the OVP leads to the discovery of a career they will pursue when they graduate. The success of OVP is due to those who donate their time willingly to help others. It is this passion of bettering the lives of others that continues to make the program thrive.
