Application Procedures

Only currently registered treasurers are authorized to submit funding requests to SORF on behalf of their organization. The following is required prior to submitting a funding request to SORF:
  1. Treasurer must attend a mandatory Treasurers’ Financial Workshop.
  2. Organization must be in active status with the Registered Organizations Office.
  3. Organization must have an established RSO Account with a positive balance.
Funding requests must be submitted by 4 pm on the announced submission deadlines. Requests submitted after 4 pm will not be accepted and funding request will be denied.

It is critical to read and understand SORF’s Guidelines and Restrictions prior to submitting a funding request. Ultimately, it is the treasurer’s responsibility to comply with all policies and procedures of the University, SORF, and the Registered Organizations Office.

FOR FALL 2009 FUNDING PERIODS (FALL 1 – FALL 5 2009) ONLY

The treasurer can submit a SORF funding request by following the steps outlined below:
  1. Log into the SORF Application Database (https://www.union.illinois.edu/sorfapp/application/sign-in.aspx) using individual NetID and Active Directory (AD) password.
  2. Select Deadline Date as it corresponds with Desired Funding Period and Event/Activity Range.
NOTE: Multiple requests can be entered on the same application for this database ONLY.

FOR SPRING 2010 FUNDING PERIODS (SPRING 1 – SPRING 5 2010) ONLY

The treasurer can submit a SORF funding request by following the steps outlined below:
  1. Log into Collegiate Link (http://illinois.collegiatelink.net) using individual NetID and AD password. 
  2. Select Organization.
  3. Click the down arrow on Finance.
  4. Select Create a Funding Request.
NOTE: For all funding requests through Collegiate Link:
  • You MUST submit a SEPARATE REQUEST for EACH FUNDING CATEGORY!!!!
  • You MUST submit a SEPARATE REQUEST for MULTIPLE REQUESTS within the SAME FUNDING CATEGORY!!!
  • FUNDING CATEGORY SELECTION at the top of the application MUST MATCH the APPROPRIATE FUNDING CATEGORY for which you are applying.
