Parking Around the Illini Union
The parking spaces in lot D-10, (east of the Illini Union), are for use of the Guest
Room patrons. Additionally, the metered spaces in D-10 are also available for use by
Illini Union Hotel guests. Guests will be given a parking pass upon request at the time
of check-in.
Metered spaces in lot D-10 and the Circle Drive of the Illini Union are for
individuals using the Illini Union services and programs. They are available
for use according to the rules indicated on the meters.
A limited amount of metered spaces in lot D-10 may be rented depending upon
the needs of the Illini Union Guest Rooms operation and other program and service
needs of the Illini Union. There is a $15 charge per rented meter bag with an eight
hour per day minimum. There is an additional $1.50 per bag for each hour beyond that.
The maximum is usually six spaces contingent on Guest Room patron needs.
Metered spaces in the Circle Drive may be rented with special permission.
There is a $20 charge per meter bag with an eight hour per day minimum. There
is an additional $2 per bag for each hour beyond that. The maximum is usually
five spaces, contingent on Building Operation’s needs.
Additional parking is available in the Champaign municipal lot at the corner of
Green and Sixth Streets. This lot has a gate attendant rather than parking meters.
Visitor parking at the meters is available in University lot C-3 that is
adjacent to Swanlund Administration building and on the top level of the
parking structure C-7 located at the corner of Sixth and John Streets.

All requests to rent meter bags must be made to the Manager of the Illini Union
Guest Rooms at least five working days in advance.
