RSO Woke Series graphic

Student organizations have to follow several policies, rules, and processes. To help navigate through these issues, while also introducing several other campus resources for leadership development, Student Affairs is excited to offer the RSO Woke Series.

Attendees of the individual programs will be able to:

  • be more aware of campus policies and procedures related to being part of an RSO
  • incorporate what they learn at the workshop into their RSO's operation
  • identify campus resources to assist them in being leaders on campus.
Workshops are open to any RSO member, unless otherwise indicated.

While not mandatory, pre-registration is encouraged for all attendees.

RSOs, who have at least one member present at five (5) different workshops during the semester, will be awarded with a $100 food voucher to use at any Illini Union vendor.

Reimbursement Questions Answered
SORF operates as a reimbursement board, which means that RSOs pay for their event then request their approved funds back from SORF using the reimbursement process. We have improved this process over the past year in response to concerns from student leaders. However, we recognize that it is still one of the more difficult parts of working with our organization. This session is specifically for reimbursement questions, including paperwork requirements and our timeline.
