Illini Union staff makes it a priority to offer a home rich in the university’s historical traditions. Attention to the preservation of the building has been a significant responsibility over the years, and the staff of the Illini Union works to provide guidance, support and encouragement to all who utilize it.

Illini Union Board Fund

Since 1942, the Illini Union Board (IU Board) has served as the voice of the students and advise administration on building policies and procedures. If it's happening at the Union, the IU Board is helping it happen. And while they are planning it all, knowledge of governance and outreach are growing tenfold.

Serving on the IU Board is an experience in group process, ethics, leadership, volunteerism, and social responsibility. Board members gain real world skills and make lasting connections with peers, faculty, staff, and alumni. Because the IU Board is involved in the daily operations of a vibrant Union, the experience is both rich and diverse - with an agenda that requires diligence and an aptitude for cooperative business practices which, in turn, lead to success.

Your support will help provide professional development opportunities to the student board members such as attending regional and national conferences. The fund also helps with bringing in top-level entertainment and educational speakers for the entire campus to enjoy for free.

Illini Union Unrestricted Fund

Support the Illini Union through the Unrestricted Fund. This fund helps the Illini Union team to make facility repairs, upgrades, and to assist in programming development. Your support of this fund will help make sure the Illini Union can host events and be the welcoming home to thousands of Illini.
