STUDY SPACES

The Illini Union has study locations in on the first floor at Room 187, Pine Lounge, Presidents Lounge, and South Lounge. There is open space in the Courtyard Cafe, but this is also an entertainment space. All are open during normal Illini Union operating hours, unless noted outside the area.

Study Space Details:

Room 187

Located on the southwest side of the first floor next to the Quad Shop.

There is one (1) reservable conference room inside Room 187. Please complete this form to reserve the space for a group project/meeting.

Courtyard Cafe

There are tables and chairs available for individual and group studying. Starbucks is conveniently located here. This is NOT a quite study space as events take place in this location throughout the day.

Pine Lounge and Presidents Lounge

Located on the NW side of the Illini Union (next to the Art Gallery), these spaces offer quiet study space at individual tables. Both will be open during normal operating hours. NOTE: due to events, these spaces may be unavailable for studying at various times.

South Lounge

With a gorgeous view looking out onto the Quad, the South Lounge is an open study area with panoramic windows that let the sunlight shine through. The two fireplaces on either side are flanked by plush chairs and couches, with the center of the room equipped with several seating areas for individual or group studies.
